The Hold Steady To Release New Record In May

The Hold Steady are set to release a new album, Heaven Is Whenever, on 5/4 via Vagrant. This being the first record in nearly six years without keyboardist Franz Nicolay and it is apparently "less anthemic" and more "complex/guitar heavy". Feist recently played a new tune, "He Was Free," as a part of the Winter Games' Cultural Olympiad arts program. Check out a video below, which apparently was kept hidden from strict security, hence that lack of more visuals. Oh well, audio sounds pretty great. Can we expect a follow up to 2007's, The Reminder, sometime this year? I sure hope so.
