After a recent drop of his Final Fantasy moniker, Owen Pallett is back with his first album in nearly four years. Now, I've been aware of this kooky Canadian violinist for some time, but can't say I've paid too close attention. This record however, is definitely making me more curious. Granted, I'm sure it won't be the best record I will hear this year, but so far, it's the most solid. Heartland is out today via Domino.
* Album reviews are composed only after a few listens. Yes, opinions may change over time, but most first impressions (fortunately or unfortunately) seem to stick/hold true.
