Standout Tracks: I Can See Your Tracks / July Flame / When You Give Your Heart
This album starts off with a one, two punch, "I Can See Your Tracks" and "July Flame," but then kind of loses me until "When You Give Your Heart." Don't get me wrong, these others are by no means bad, but something just doesn't seem to spark my attention. On the other hand, there are definitely some great, subtle guitar, banjo, and vocal layers, which make this Laura's most solid release to date. July Flame is out now via Raven Marching Band.
* Album reviews are composed only after a few listens. Yes, opinions may change over time, but most first impressions (fortunately or unfortunately) seem to stick/hold true.
