Standout Tracks: French Kissing / Miracles / Getting Healthy (Good Luck)
A modest debut from this Rilo Kiley and Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band drummer. I kind of sense a little Jim James meets Richard Ashcroft in the vocals. I also really dig the guitar lick on "French Kissing," which is slightly reminiscent of Bahamas. Hustler's Son is out now via Team Love.
* Album reviews are composed only after a few listens. Yes, opinions may change over time, but most first impressions (fortunately or unfortunately) seem to stick/hold true.
