Standout Tracks: The Wild Hunt / You're Going Back / King Of Spain
Yes, the comparisons to Dylan are pretty instantaneous, but I also think Kristian Matsson has mastered a lovely sound of his own. These fairly simplistic tunes have definitely brought me back to listen and I think "King Of Spain" may be a contender for one of my favorite songs of the year. The Wild Hunt is out today via Dead Oceans.
* Album reviews are composed only after a few listens. Yes, opinions may change over time, but most first impressions (fortunately or unfortunately) seem to stick/hold true.
