Standout Tracks: Martyr's Song / October / John Wayne
Reminiscent of Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker and early Jason Collett, this current Chicagoan brings a new twist with his alt-country storytelling. My only complaint would be that most of the songs are just a tad too long, but other than that, I'm really diggin' this record. Anyway, The Fear, is out now. Go pick it up, here.
* Album reviews are composed only after a few listens. Yes, opinions may change over time, but most first impressions (fortunately or unfortunately) seem to stick/hold true.
