Sigur Rós "Gobbledigook"
Sigur Rós have released a (NSFW) video and an mp3 for a new tune called, "Gobbledigook." I don't know about you, but this doesn't sound like your typical "Icelandic lullaby" from these guys. I do, however, think it is a nice change. As for the video and album art, by Ryan McGinley, I'm not so sure what they're trying to portray, but apparently the spirit of the new album is reflected by it. A few other notes included in today's news are that this is the first album to not completely be recorded in Iceland, one track, "All Alright," features vocals in English, and another tune, "Ára Bátur," includes 90 people playing at the same time. Check the album art and tracklist out below. The forthcoming release, Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust (translation: with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly), is due out 6/24 via XL.
